Casa Canevini Garda

The canevini are the symbol of the daily history of many families of Garda. Dug at the foot of the Rocca, for several centuries they were the galley, the pantry for generations of the people of Garda. The constant temperature guaranteed by the rock has allowed food to be stored in these recesses. Casa Canevini was built above these natural cellars, which are located a few hundred meters from the town center of Garda. From the street below, 13 steps lead to the entrance door, located on a small terrace overlooking the hills. Just inside there’ s a spacious and nice kitchen (4-burner stove, fridge, freezer, oven, microwave), with a large fireplace on the side and table with 6 chairs; through a a passage, a service bathroom with washing machine, a double bedroom, a bedroom with a bunk bed; a small back yard with barbeque and outside furniture. From the kitchen, climbing the 14 steps of a beautiful wooden staircase, there’ s the living room, on the large mezzanine, with two sofa beds, satellite TV and a bathroom with shower.
